Who would expect a cheese specialty stop to be an interactive experience? This tiny shop is misleading from the outside since the selection of cheeses inside was extensive! And the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and willing to let us sample-taste based on our preferences. We took home a pineapple roulade and a honey goat cheese back (for teenagers who never had goat cheese before) to the East Coast which were enjoyed by our family. Don't leave this off your visit to Traverse City!

First time going was in April after trying some of their products at a local winery. We didnt know much about 'real' cheese. Do yourself a favor and go ask for the Italian Table Cheese. It is so addicting. The owner's mom helped us the first time and she was SO kind, upbeat, and helpful. Today I popped in with my kids while in town. The worker today was so sweet and even cut the Brick Cheese into cheesesticks for my toddler. I just love this place.

The staff members were so sweet and welcoming! They gave us samples and it was amazing. We were just waiting for our restaurant reservation and ended up buying some jam and crackers 😊

Absolutely love this place! Danny was so helpful, knowledgeable & friendly ! Best smooth Gouda cheese around! If you’re looking for some specialty cheeses, this is definitely the place! Prices are very reasonable! Danny made our experience perfect 👌🏾

"The Cheese Lady Traverse City" offers a unique cheese experience offering over over 150 different specialty cheeses from around the world. The staff is very knowledgeable and we were given an education while tasting different cheeses. The store also offers an assortment of gifts, crackers, dips, jams, wines, and oh ya NUSKE'S BACON!
